Interlibrary Loan Services
Interlibrary loan is available to faculty, students, administration, and staff. Most books and articles can be obtained at no charge to the borrower.
For books, first check the Arthur, MOBIUS or Prospector Catalogs to see if the item is held by one of the academic libraries in MOBIUS or Prospector. If so, you may place a request in the online catalog yourself. This will be faster than using interlibrary loan, which now is used for books not available through MOBIUS or Prospector and for periodical articles not available from Westminster. Worldcat is a good place to search for additional books that can be received through traditional interlibrary loan but it may take 2 weeks to receive the item.
You may request materials in the following ways:
If you are requesting a journal article not available from Reeves Library's through Publication Finder, you may request articles through Discovery that do not have full text available by filling out the request form. If the article comes from another source, feel free to email IL2GO@westminster-mo.edu with the article information.
You may also contact the library at (573) 592-5248 or e-mail IL2GO with your request.
Most books requested through Arthur or MOBIUS will arrive in two or three business days. Prospector may take 4-5 business days. It may take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to receive other interlibrary loan materials. Since traditional interlibrary loan requests come from anywhere in the nation and across the world their delivery time depends on a number of variables. The loan period is set by the lending library for books and physical materials. When articles arrive, they can be sent to you via campus mail, email or you may pick them up at the Circulation Desk. Books received through ILL may be picked up in the library's front office. They may be returned to the Circulation Desk.
